The Battle Is Not Yours...
I am going to need a new computer monitor. I threw mines out the window after hearing Karen Clark-Sheard!!!
Remember, never give in. Don't give up. God is working! The battle is not yours, it belongs to the Lord!

PROJECT IDENTITY
is a federally funded program designed to stimulate interest in college attendance and the awareness of college entrance requirements for African-American and other minority males attending middle school. The Project aims to help to develop and sustain the capacity of middle schools to prepare these young boys for high school and post-secondary education. By providing a network of support, particularly for the adults who influence middle school students, specifically, their counselors and families, Project Identity strives to channel and direct more minority males to higher education. Project Identity will give special attention to boys from backgrounds and communities that historically have not encouraged large numbers to pursue, enroll and succeed in post-secondary education.
OUR VISION
The vision of Project Identity is to expose middle school male students to the best academic resources and cultural activities so that learning becomes a source of inspiration to not only pursue the college option but to do so with enthusiasm and vigor. By assisting both parents and school counselors, Project Identity will create a learning environment for participants that extends beyond the classroom.

I Know It's Been A Minute...
Okay, so I have not blogged in a minute. That's because I have been on the road traveling and speaking at various colleges and universities. And, can I tell you that I meet the most fascinating students who are so bright and intelligent. WOW! I cannot wait to see how they take over the world....
I have been following the news, as well as getting e-mails and calls from friends about the entertainment industry, and I can say that I am sooooo bored of it all! That is why I have not written anything in a while. I am really over the drama, publicity stunts, and attention-whores which I have diagnosed as M.A.D. (Media Attention Disorder)....if you hear or see that term floating around know that I created it and they stole it from me.
I have not been inspired to write about anything. Which is good because I am focused on my own writing projects. Besides, I let the other bloggers fill their pages with the mundane and unimportant stuff. I choose to write and publish things that empower, inspire, and uplift us all.
With that -
First, Chris Brown and Rhianna....I have been in an abusive relationship and I totally understand what it's like to go back to the abuser. I understand her rationale as a victim and battered woman. But, I have no sympathy for a man who abuses, either verbally, emotionally, or physically. I also recommend that you don't get caught up in THEIR relationship. I am sure your life is much more interesting dealing with your own job, families, friends, and relationships.
Second, 50 Cent and Rick Ross - BORING!!! Haven't we seen this tactic from 50 Cent before?
Third, The Village Voice newspaper in NYC attempted, well, basically "outed" Tyler Perry. Hmmm, I will leave that one alone.
Fourth, I don't know about you, but are you finding the entertainment industry to be quite boring right now. No one is doing anything major. We have nothing to look forward to. No big concerts, movies, or albums. It's definitely time for a new cast of characters. So, what are you doing?
Fifth, the recession. I, personally, do not have or allow anyone around me to discuss lack. I am not in a conversation of lack. "I am prosperous and financially abundant. I understand money and how it works. I don't work for money, it works for me. God is my source and I am in alignment with His will!" That is my conversation. You should try it.
Finally, I thank you all for your love and support. I thank you for sharing my book and blog with your friends. It truly means a lot when I hear from you and on myspace and facebook. From the bottom of my heart I appreciate each one of you. I am working on another book which should be coming soon. I will definitely keep you posted.
